DIY Lush Lip Scrub 👄

So I have been wanting to make a Lip scrub for a while now. I’ve been looking for the perfect recipe and I’ve finally found one! I absolutely love Lush products, I’ve never tried their lip scrub but I definitely am soon! This recipe is super simple and smells/tastes great! *i wouldn’t suggest scooping the product out and eating but it’s not bad for you to ingest when you lick your lips*

So let’s get to the DIY!

These are the supplies you will need:

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Sugar
  • Vanilla Extract (you can use any kind you want)
  • A container to put your scrub in
  • Something to mix it in
  • Something to mix with
  • A tablespoon
  • A teaspoon

The recipe is:

1 tablespoon of sugar

1/2 teaspoon of olive oil

1 drop of your choice extract

1-2 drops of food coloring (optional)

When using food coloring choose your color wisely! Green or blue may temporarily stain your lips! I used yellow!

When your done mixing all of your ingredients together transfer your finished product into your container!

Now enjoy your brand new homemade lip scrub! I can tell you mine is amazing! Don’t forget to have fun!!

Nudes lipsticks for Different skin tones 💄

Not all nudes go great with every skin tone. If you’re having trouble picking the right nude for you, look no further I am here to help.

Fair Skin:

When choosing a nude for fair skin you have to be careful, some nudes can completely wash you out. So a peachy neutral shade that is close to your lip color is recommended. This helps brighten and accent you’re skin tone!

Tan/Olive Skin:

To highlight the golden glow of an olive skin tone, use a peachy nude. Instead of using a tawny nude, which can get muddy. A slight pink shade can accent the flush in your cheeks.

Medium Skin:

To match the brown undertones of this skin color, you can wear a dusty- rose nude, preferably matte. Just like olive skin opt for a pink or peachy type nude.

Medium-Deep Skin:

For medium-deep skin, opt for a warm nude 2-3 shades darker than your natural lip color, whether its pink or brown. If you want to lighten up naturally dark lips instead, choose a nude with a tint of orange, which will cancel out the darker pigments.

Deep Skin:

For dark skin, choose a golden brown nude which will accent your skins natural warmth. Stay away from pink or frosty shades that can end up looking chalky.

UD Naked 3

Created this lovely look using an eyeshadow palette that is near and dear to my heart, Urban Decay Naked 3! This palette is so gorgeous! I like to describe it as vintage/rustic colors which I am a sucker for!

This palette cost $54 if I recall correctly!

You can watch the tutorial for this eyeshadow look on my YouTube!

The Favorite Products🐥

These are the products I cannot live without.

  • Colour Pop- Wisp $8

This highlighter is just 😍! It’s a gorgeous golden champagne type color. Highly pigmented and super soft and smooth. I received this in my ipsy and have used it everyday since. This is the first Colour Pop product I’ve tried but after this I will definitely be purchasing some in the future. If you were considering trying this product I recommend you buy it, pronto!

  • Lancôme-Hypnôse Drama $27.50

I know this is kinda pricy but this isn’t a drugstore mascara. But I love this mascara, it volumizes and lengthens! I also use the eyelash primer by Lancôme and it really lengthens my eyelashes. This product is one of the best mascara so I’ve tried that does both. Definitely recommend. The only downside to this mascara is that if you aren’t careful then it can get clumpy but I just use a lash comb and it’s all good.

  • Maybelline Master Conceal-about $8

This concealer, man, is legit my favorite ever! I mean the best one I’ve tried so far! It has great coverage and is just wonderful! I use this everyday and it covers up those trouble acne spots perfectly. I use the shade light/medium. Definitely at the top of my makeup recommendations!

  • OFRA- Universal Eyebrow pencil $13

Now I have pretty dark eyebrows already and I’ve been searching for something to fill my eyebrows with that won’t make them look terribly dark. And low and behold I’ve found one! I received this product in my ipsy. It applies really smooth and blends in perfectly with my eyebrows. So if you have pretty dark eyebrows this eyebrow pencil is for you. I’m dying to try more OFRA products.

  • It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye- $24

Yet another product I recieved in my ipsy. I don’t have bad under eyes but they’re bad enough to me to cover up. This product can definitely turn me from a bad nights sleep to looking like I slept all day! It concels like you couldn’t believe! I love this product! I typically only use it when I’m doing full makeup. Really wants some more products by ItCosmetics I’ve heard good things about there products.

  • M.A.C Prep + Prime- $16.50

The only Mac products I own are lip related. But can I tell you this lip primer is heavenly! I tend to wear matte lipsticks more than non-matte lipsticks and my lips get dry when I wear matte. So you use this product before you put on matte lipstick and it helps to keep your lip moisturized! It’s smooth and silky I’d that makes sense. It’s wonderful.

  • Rimmel Stay Matte Powder- about $4-$5

I’ve used this product for a few years now and it is a definite go to. I have oily skin and this works wonders. There isn’t much I can say about this except it’s wonderfully for touch ups when your skin gets oily or sometimes I use it when I don’t feel like putting on fondation for school.

  • Too Faced Love Flush Palette-$36

Almost done. This is the first full sized Too Faced product I’ve owned! The colors in this palette are gorgeous and very blend able! My favorites are Love Hangover and How Deep is your Love? I love the pinky tones to it they are beautiful. I’ve wanted this palette since it came out and I’m definitely glad I purchased it!  Seriously need more Too Faced in my life

  • Morphe 35W- regular $40 on sale for $20

This palette is full of warm tones. Another one of my first time products, I’ve gotten 2 brushes from Morphe but I’ll post a brush video another time. I practically use this palette every time I do my eyeshadow. I love the shades of Brown and burgundy they go great with my hazel eyes. These shadows are pigmented and blendable! Can’t wait to try more Morphe shadows! I’m obsessed!

  • Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit-$40

Finally, Now I know everyone loves this and I’m one of them! The contour colors are just perfect! Very warm toned! I love the banana powder in this palette it’s perfect for setting my concealer. Now if I can just get my hands on some of the Anastasia eyeshadows!

I hope you enjoyed my favorites, more blog posts to come! 💐

    Skin Care Routine

I’m not one of those people with a skin care routine that contains a lot of products. But here’s mine:

    • First, I remove all my makeup with my Lancôme makeup remover for eye makeup and regular makeup remover wipes.

    • After I have gotten all my makeup off I could, next, I use my Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser with my SpaCells Scrub Pad , this scrub pad is one of my favorite “devices” to use because you can literally see the extra makeup left over on your face in the little cells! It’s so cool! Anyway, but I use the pad with my cleanser to wash my face.

    • After  I dry my face, I then moisturize with my Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Moisturizer. This is an awesome moisturizer!

    • Then, I either use a pore strip or put on a face mask. This step I only do two to three times a week.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Stay tuned for more posts.
